EnvisionPharmacies Recognized as Top-Tier Pharmacy by Multiple National Healthcare Accrediting organizations

Accreditations demonstrate high quality offered to payers, patients and prescribers

PRESS RELEASE:
EnvisionPharmacies, a division of EnvisionRxOptions, announced it has received accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for Specialty Pharmacy services, as well as reaccreditation from URAC for both Mail Service Pharmacy and Specialty Pharmacy. These designations are in addition to the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites® (VIPPS®) accreditation the pharmacy received in 2018 from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®).

Both URAC and ACHC are independent, non-profit organizations that provide accreditation services to the healthcare industry. The ACHC accreditation process ensures an organization’s compliance with national standards and reflects dedication and commitment to meeting practices that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care. The URAC accreditation process also demonstrates a commitment to quality services and serves as a framework to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards. EnvisionPharmacies has held URAC accreditations for Specialty Pharmacy and Mail Service Pharmacy since 2013, representing the company’s ongoing commitment to meet or exceed industry standards and continuously improve its service offerings.

“At EnvisionPharmacies, we work every day to improve the quality of life and care of our patients. Receiving accreditations affirms our dedication to being a top-tier pharmacy,” said Donald Gale, senior vice president of EnvisionPharmacies. “These accreditations, demonstrate that we do more than simply dispense medication. Our commitment to high quality standards and our dedication to our patients is what sets us apart.”

ACHC Accreditation Affirms High-Quality Patient Care

Specialty medications are used to treat complex conditions and require a higher level of care to achieve optimal outcomes. Because of this, ACHC’s Specialty accreditation focuses on patient care. The accreditation process, which includes an extensive onsite survey conducted by an industry expert, reviews employees’ training and examines patient, prescriber and employee satisfaction levels to ensure patients are receiving robust specialty care. The accreditation is valid through April 22, 2022 and annual verifications will ensure compliance with national standards.

URAC Designations Demonstrate Continuous Improvement

URAC performs a rigorous, transparent and comprehensive evaluation of systems, processes and performance of pharmacies, assuring that they are operating according to predetermined industry criteria and national standards. Accreditations are earned through continuous improvement and an ongoing commitment to these industry standards.

The URAC Specialty Pharmacy accreditation demonstrates a pharmacy’s value in delivering specialized clinical services. It shows a dedication to patient education and safety, and adherence to industry best practices.

The URAC Mail Service Pharmacy accreditation shows a commitment to quality improvement, accountability, consumer protection and patient care. It ensures adherence to standards covering organizational quality, customer service, communications and disclosures, drug utilization management, pharmacy operations, and a process to measure mail service outcomes and quality improvement. Both URAC accreditations are valid through May 1, 2022.

“With our accreditations, we demonstrate our commitment to quality healthcare and accountability based on rigorous national standards and continual improvement,” Gale added. “We are proud to provide high-touch, personalized care that is recognized by these prestigious organizations.”
